Affiliate marketing is literally the best & easiest way to monetize your blog (even as a beginner!).
If you start monetizing your blog with affiliate products from day 1, chances are you’re going to start making a cosistent income in 6-8 months. Considering that you focus on bringing traffic as well.
But that’s not going to be enough!
You also need to invest in some affiliate marketing tools & resources that are going to make your job easy + increase your affiliate income at the same time.
If you want to be a full -time blogger or an online biz owner, then this is one of the most crucial steps that you really need to take.
But, many people hesitate at this part!
Let me tell you what though, investing in the right tools & resources is going to give you much more ROI (Return on investment) than keeping that money in the bank (or spending it on useless stuff!).
So, let’s take a look at the 15 undoubtedly best affiliate marketing tools & resources that I use in my business and how they can be helpful for you too…
Tools for Affiliate Marketing Content Creation
As a blogger, creating content solely for promoting affiliate products is going to be your biggest source of revenue in the long term.
All you need to do is create affiliate blog posts and they are going to bring you cash even after 6 months, a year or much more later.
But just writing blog posts isn’t gonna do it!
You need to make sure that those blog posts convert as well. This is why these affiliate marketing tools will help you in creating content that convert & make sales.
Buzzsumo is a great content marketing tool and one of my favorite tools out there for content research.
Before creating any content, all you gotta do is write your topic keyword and see the top-performing articles around that topic.
You can also see the number of links & social shares, which will tell you if the topic is popular enough to write about or not.
Why would you wanna write a blog post that nobody wants to read, huh?
When you’re reading a blog post and you notice tons of grammatical errors and wrong spellings, what’s the first thing that comes into your mind?
“That this website is not much trustworthy and the creator is not putting much efforts into the content!”
You don’t want your readers to think the same about your content now, do you?
That’s where Grammarly comes into play! It automatically detects your mistakes while you’re writing and gives you suggestions to fix those mistakes.
Now, you also don’t want to write your blog posts in such a language (I’m talking about hard words, not Chinese) that it’s hard for your readers to understand.
And if your readers don’t understand what you’re trying to say, they are not going to take action and buy from your affiliate links.
Hemmingway is a web application or a website where you can put your text and it’ll show which sentences are hard to understand and will help you optimize your post for your readers.
Tools for Creating Landing Pages
If you’re planning to promote affiliate products through an email list, then you need to create landing pages that convert and bring you tons of subscribers.
Here are my favorite tools for creating highly-converting landing pages.
Leadpages is an online tool that you can use to create opt-in forms & landing pages to collect email subscribers.
That is the main function of Leadpages, and they provide tons of gorgeous templates that you can use for lead magnets, webinars, and landing pages in order to grow your email list.
Leadpages also has templates for things like sales pages — it’s a very robust tool! and it’s very useful if you’re serious about your business.
The more subscribers you get, the more chances of you making affiliate sales.
Divi Theme by Elegant themes
Instead of investing in a separate landing page tool, you can go with a complete WordPress theme that literally comes with everything.
That’s what the Divi theme by Elegant Themes does.
You can create & design every aspect of your website as well as create highly-converting landing pages & forms as well.
My websites & landing pages are created with Divi Theme too and I absolutely love it.
Email Marketing & Automation tools
If you have a blog and you’re not building an email list, you’re leaving a lot of money on the table.
Building an email list not only allows you to drive targeted traffic to your blog, but also promote and sell affiliate products to your subscribers (even if you don’t have a product yet.)
It also allows you to automate your affiliate sales by creating sales funnels and I currently have 5 of them on my blog.
But remember, most free email marketing tools mess with your email deliverability and don’t always allow affiliate links. So, it’s better to invest in the right tool from the beginning.
ConvertKit is one of the most popular and highly recommended email marketing tools among bloggers & content creators.
It not only makes email marketing & list building easy for you, but you actually enjoy it (even the tech part!).
I use ConvertKit myself and I can’t recommend it enough.
Plus, if you sign-up through my link, you get a 30-day FREE trial instead of the regular 14. Get a 30-day FREE ConvertKit trial here (without any credit card).
GetResponse is a slightly advanced email marketing tool and more aligned towards small businesses.
It has more robust features and automation tools along with a webinar feature as well.
I was with GetResponse but then they raised their prices and I heard a lot of good stuff about ConvertKit, so I made the switch.
But, GetResponse is still one of the best email marketing tools in my opinion.
Tracking + Analytics
Tracking which blog posts are performing better and bringing more money is important for you to create similar content.
There’s no use in creating content that’s not brining any traffic or revenue and costing you just time, money & energy.
Google analytics is the most common tool used by most of the website owners to keep a track of their website traffic.
You can track a lot of stuff including traffic source, demographics, top-performing posts etc. but for your affiliate marketing strategy, you need to focus on two things.
Which traffic source is bringing the most traffic so you can focus more on that source.
What are the posts that bring the most traffic so you can create similar content.
Google Search Console
Google Search Console does something similar, except it helps you keep a track of your organic search traffic.
You can keep a track of which blog posts and keywords are performing better in the search engines, so you can optimize them for higher rankings…
…And create similar content!
Pretty Links Plugin
Pretty Links is a very useful WordPress plugin that helps you cloak your affiliate links and keep a track of the link clicks.
It also makes it easier to switch your affiliate links (If the program makes any changes in the link) by just replacing the old link with the new one in the Pretty Links dashboard and the link will be changed all across the site.
You can also add the “sponsored” tag directly from the Pretty Links settings to all your cloaked affiliate links and you won’t need to add it again & again in your blog posts.
If you’re creating quality content, you also want it to rank on the 1st page of search engines so that it can pull targeted organic traffic and generate passive income for you.
These tools help you with just that. From Keyword research to competitor analysis, take a look at these awesome tools.
Google Keyword Planner
Google Keyword Planner is a free keyword research tool from Google for its Adwords program.
You can look at the historical data of the keywords and future forecasts of the keyword’s performance as well.
It gives you an estimate about the no. of times the keyword gets searched per month in Google and the competitiveness of the keyword as well.
Keysearch is one of my favorite keyword research tools.
Not only it’s inexpensive but beginner-friendly as well. If you’re a beginner blogger, this is the best tool for you.
If you want to create content, then performing proper keyword research makes sure that the topic has enough demand and it has the potential to bring a decent amount of traffic from search engines.
SEMrush is a more robust & advanced SEO tool that does everything from keyword research to competitor analysis to what not.
I have used SEMrush and I absolutely loved it.
The only problem is that it can be slightly expensive if you’re just starting out.
Affiliate Marketing Resources
If you want to succeed at affiliate marketing and make a decent consistent income, then it’s better to invest in a good course or ebook than just figuring everything out yourself.
It will not only save you a lot of time but also put you ahead of most of your competition.
Affiliate Marketing Demystified eBook
